It's fall!

It's fall. Finally...

If you haven't had a chance to "enjoy" summer in Las Vegas, you don't know what real summer is all about. Well, some of my friends claim they do, but I believe our local summer is the most "summery" summer of them all. 120 exhausting degrees, no rains, no even clouds - and lots of orders for the cold season! :)

Good news is that we finally have fall! Yellow leaves appear here and there, winds begin to get fresh, bringing some slight relief...

I love fall! Those chilly mornings and sunny days, warm and bright colors of rust and gold, fantastic sunsets... Awesome!

And of course it's time to think holidays! All things pumpkin, spooky and yummy. This is what I have for the coming season.

PUMPKIN HAT:

Warm terracotta, soft green and yummy brown. Available in all children, teen and adult sizes.

Not a fan of hats? Try this Jockey Hat!

Many colors, all the sizes available!

Something for your legs :)

I believe spring is the best time to try something new. New style, new attire, new hairdo - something unusual, even bold.

For this spring I've designed Laced-Up Knee Long Mesh Leg Warmers. They're made with very soft and silky eco-friendly yarn, totally adjustable and simply beautiful. :)

Of course, I'm thankful to my gorgeous model. :)

These Leg Warmers are available in many colors.

Sunshine to Everyone!

I just talked to my parents in Europe, it's -5 F over there. So cold, so slippery, grey and gloomy. Real winter... And it's very sad to see the "Snowmageddon" in Mid-Atlantics!

As for us, Vegas is shining as usual. Short morning shower is over, and the day is stunning. I'm sending our warmth and sunshine to everyone who needs them. Grab and enjoy! :)

February Twilight

I'm one of those (many) people who live in Las Vegas, but don't really like "Vegassy" Vegas. Madness of The Strip is too much for me, but all the rest is incredible! Mountains around the city, desert lakes, unbelievable sunsets, unique landscape...

This Treasury was inspired by the shades of Vegas twilights in February - some amazing mix of purple, pink, blue, and green.

Size Matters? :)

Being 5'2", I've always loved everything big. Big cars (oh, these huge American trucks, how much I want to try and drive one of them!), big men (it's so convenient to hide under my hubby's shoulder!), big dogs... Once I had an amazing Great Dane. He was the smartest and handsomest dog in the world, for sure...

And this is what I saw a couple of days ago in the park. They're irresistible, aren't they? :)

2010 Winter Olympics Accessory

Winter Olympics are approaching, and several days ago I received a wonderful custom order for an evid sports fan. :)

This cup cozy had to represent team colors (blue/yellow) and be as functional as possible. I used a wonderful wool blend yarn and a matching star button. The guy was really happy, feedback was fantastic.

If you know someone who would also like this gift idea, here is the link:

First Post

Hello!
My name is Natalya, and this is my new journal. I have another one where I tell about my everyday life, about things, people and events that I find interesting and exciting. That first journal is in Russian. But I have so many friends who don't speak Russian, and they also wanted to read about my life... That’s why a new journal was born.
I’ve been knitting for as long as I can remember. When I was four or five, our adorable kindergarten teacher asked all the girls to bring knitting needles and some yarn to knit with. I still remember those hysterically yellow needles and unbearably green yarn. :) Of course, we started with a scarf. Hats, mittens and everything else came later.
Lately I found myself getting bored with knitting clothes, so I switched to accessories: hats, scarves, neck and leg warmers, plus handbags, laptop sleeves, cell phone and eyeglasses cases, brooches, bracelets and necklaces, as well as all kinds of houseware (rugs, tablecloth and runners, wall decorations, etc.). All my creations are my own designs, and I enjoy thinking of something new every time.
I also like to teach and will gladly post lessons for those who want to learn how to knit, crochet and felt. These lessons will be illustrated with photos and video (also available on Youtube for your convenience). The most popular items will be accompanied by detailed patterns, and I’ll gladly answer your questions.
How about I show you some of my work? http://natalya1905.etsy.com/
I hope to make new friends here. Folks who love knitting, crocheting and felting, just like I do. Please write a little about yourself in comments and I’ll be more than happy to read your journals. Thanks!
